A simple love story- Chapter 1

It was love at first sight..But for her, not for him. His face was craved out of a sculpture of Greek god. Yet, there were no curly mops or anything sinewy about his features. There was a softness in his face, a delicacy, yet why did it resemble like a Greek god! Maybe it was her fascination with the Greek godliness looks. something in her clicked when she saw him, it was more of a physical attraction than mental or emotional.
He only side-glanced her once and she was dismissed. She liked him. But he acted pricey, a quintessential Mr. Darcy? And she was Jane Austen fan! And nothing like Lizzy, her heroine. She was more like Jane Bennett! Jane and Mr. Darcy??? Awful thought, no ways! But this is modern world and not a 18 th century classic novel. Should she pretend to be Lizzy, how pretentious! so is love nowadays.

All she thought was of him, day n night. She went to college to glance and shower her silent admiration for him. Why was she so attracted, tumultuous and in turmoil. Rather she was waiting for a prefect moment for him to notice her. Is there a perfect moment? She was a simpleton, he was was a Greek god ( there you go...). Waiting for the perfect moment..waiting .. waiting.

He did not give her a second glance( after the first one that we spoke of). His interest laid in a pretty brunette. That was love for him.

Sigh! where's my Mr. Bingley? thought our plain Jane. The pretty brunette was like Lizzy, strong , powerful, headstrong, independent. So the classic form is true. Only twist in the modern tale here is that Jane also likes Mr. Darcy.

Now we got to make Jane and Darcy meet! I am sure sparks will fly , but we must get them together. What we need here is a second glance! he was so besotted by the brunette that the blonde was ignored ( yes , Jane 's a blonde). We need to boost Jane to atleast talk to him .

And then like magic, she drifted when she saw him sitting by himself in class. She knew he was waiting for the brunette (damn!). She sat next to him and murmured a meek hi, he cordially replied back, though in his mind he was anxious to see Lizzy. Now Lizzy was friendly and had many admirers , but so did our little Jane. Jane was helpful, sweet, soft and surprisingly funny.
Lizzy was smart, bold and friendly. Mr. Darcy was....essentially only Darcy.

Now coming back to her senses , Jane quietly got up and sat a few benches behind Darcy. He did not even realize she had left. There appeared Lizzy, a handful of books in her arms and a pretty swagger. his eyes lit up, he saved her a seat too. Now don't think our Jane was disappointed. She tried to ignore but every few seconds she glanced in their direction to see them chatter and laugh and whisper. Now did i tell you Lizzy along with an armful of books in one hand, the another was wrapped around another guy.
